This resource presents an overview of the RESKILLING project and its stakeholder engagement methodology. Funded by the European Commission under Horizon Europe, RESKILLING is a 20-partner initiative addressing the workforce challenges arising from the deployment of Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM). The project aims to support workers, businesses, and public actors in adapting to technological change by promoting skills development, employment growth, and socially inclusive transitions in the mobility sector. The document details the project’s Co-Innovation Framework and stakeholder engagement strategy, outlining how different actors are involved throughout the project lifecycle. Engagement activities are structured across three phases — scoping and community building, co-creation and collaborative design, and long-term impact and legacy building — ensuring that project results are grounded in real-world needs and expertise.

This article summarises the first Annual Virtual Stakeholder Event organised by the RESKILLING project — a high-level online gathering that brought together over 60 experts and stakeholders from industry, research, policy, training and labour organisations to explore how Connected, Cooperative and Automated Mobility (CCAM) is transforming jobs, skills and the future of work in Europe’s transport sector. It highlights key presentations, early findings on job impacts and skills needs, and interactive discussions that fed directly into the project’s ongoing activities and roadmap development.
